Welcome to Western Village Academy, a charter school in the Oklahoma City Public School District. We are the first charter school in the state to serve the children in our own area. With the help of Integris Health, over 300 mentors, and parental support we have made great strides forward. Our successes include raising our test scores from the teens and twenties to the sixties and seventies, increasing enrollment from 150 to 320 with a waiting list, increasing student involvement in sports from 23% to 69%, increased teacher retention from 76% to 98%, and a decrease in conduct referrals (from 37% to 11%). We are an Oklahoma A+ school. The arts are integrated throughout the curriculum. Through tremendous community support and a dedicated staff, Western Village Academy provides effective learning opportunities for all students. Go Eagles!

Oklahoma City, OK - Western Village Academy is pleased to announce it has received a $6,200 grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation and its Get Moving OKC Grants Fund for Oklahoma City. The grant will be used to assist in funding five fitness stations, monthly nutrition counseling for parents, and field trips to ropes and nature trail sites which will allow Western Village Academy to increase its level of service to the population it serves. "We are so pleased to have received this grant," says Tobi Campbell, Western Village's director. "Our Fit for Life Exercise Program will now be able to reach twice as many needy families. We appreciate the support of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation." Founded in 1969, the Oklahoma City Community Foundation manages more than $500 million in assets and is ranked as one of the largest community foundations in the country.
